Scratchley’s on the Wharf is renowned amongst locals as being one of the top seafood restaurants in the area. The iconic harbour restaurant is popular all year round, and offers a fantastic menu of locally sourced seafood dishes, as well as cocktails and top quality wines. And if you’re looking for something a little livelier, the restaurant has just opened an adjacent bar, called Battlesticks Bar. Scottie’s is the place to go for five-star food served in a laid back, relaxed way. The informal restaurant is a great place to couples and groups of friends to meet and enjoy outstanding seafood dishes. The iconic beach cafes of Nobby’s Beach are home to many a great seafood restaurant, but Swell Espresso Bar has to be our favourite. The restaurant is located at the end of the beach’s surf pavilion, so you definitely won’t miss it. As well as being a fabulous spot to grab a coffee, this is our go to place for delicious homemade chips and fresh battered fish. The perfect meal for a day at the beach. Be prepared for a bit of a wait though, like all good fish and chip restaurants this place does get busy!

LURE is a quaint little Newcastle restaurant inspired by the tavernas of Greek fishing villages. Hooked is another great Newcastle restaurant boasting epic views over the harbour. The restaurant is open seven days a week, and located within the Newcastle Cruising Yacht Club. Weeknight specials include surf and turf, pasta night and schnitzel night. The seafood dishes come highly recommended by our team, and the daily fish special is always fantastic.
